Welcome Class of 1977!
We hope to see you at Alumni Weekend taking place April 25-28, 2024. It’s time to return to Pomona College to reconnect and celebrate our common bonds as Sagehens. We’ll hope you’ll join us for the flight to 50! Having you on campus with us will help make our 47th Reunion a success!
Online registration is now closed. A limited number of tickets will be available onsite and are available on a first-come basis. Registration is on Thursday, April 25 at 1 p.m. and Friday & Saturday, April 26–27 from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Click here to see who has registered so far.
Reunion Activities:
In addition to the Alumni Weekend schedule, your 47th Reunion Committee has organized some special reunion activities. On Thursday, Bob Mendez ’77 is hosting a casual dinner at his home in Claremont Village starting at 6 p.m. If you can’t attend the dinner but would like to join the party, you can login via Zoom between 6:30-7:30 p.m. On Friday, come see Frank Farris’ art installation in the Estella Laboratory. Frank will give a short talk about his piece and his creative process. Sign up for these events here.
On Friday evening, Verne Naito will be recognized as a 2024 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award during the All-Class Dinner. On Saturday at 10:30 a.m. join our class for a Sharing Session where we’ll have a chance to chat. Please see the “Where Is My Class?” section in the AW24 Schedule Booklet or check the AW24 event app for our class’s Saturday dinner location. In case you have friends in the Class of ‘79, they’ll be nearby for their 45th reunion dinner.
Throughout the weekend, our Class Tent in Marston Quad will be a great place to hang out and gather together between activities. We hope to see you there.
The Benton Museum of Art is hosting Barry X Ball ‘77 for an Artist Talk and Reception from 4-5:30 p.m.
Your Reunion To-Do List:
- Book your stay and make travel arrangements. Rooms fill up quickly so make your reservation now!
- Update your contact information with the Alumni Office. Make sure we have your preferred email and mailing address for receiving the latest reunion updates.
- Send a Class Note for the magazine. Email PCMNotes@pomona.edu.
- As part of our Flight to 50 giving campaign, gifts of all kinds will count towards our class’ cumulative total. Consider a 5-year reunion pledge or a Torchbearer or President's Circle gift to support an area of the College that is meaningful to you. We can also make tax-wise gifts through the Pomona Plan or join the Granite & Sagebrush Society with a legacy gift, and these will count towards our class’ Reunion Recognition total. Learn more about our Flight to 50 campaign on the Reunion Giving website.
- Support our class gift here.
Laura Wensley is our staff liaison who will help our class make the most out of this special milestone. If you have any questions or want to get more involved with planning, please email her or (909) 607-4090.
