Registration

Find answers to your questions about registering for Alumni Weekend. 

Do I need to pay the registration fee?

Yes, the registration fee is required for ALL registrants, both alumni, and non-alumni guests. The registration fee includes admission to all complimentary events (i.e. class photos, lectures, panels, continental breakfasts and other expenses throughout the weekend). Guests 15 and under are not required to pay the registration fee.

Can I make changes to my registration after it has been confirmed?

To change your registration, contact the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement at alumni@pomona.edu or call 1-888-SAGEHEN (724-3436).

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?

Every reservation will be confirmed by email. If you do not receive a confirmation by April 20, please contact the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement: alumni@pomona.edu or by calling 1-888-SAGEHEN(724-3436).

I need to cancel my registration; can I get a refund?

Refund requests will be honored until April 18 only. No refunds can be processed after April 18th since catering and event orders are finalized after that date. To cancel any reservation and request a refund, please contact the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement by calling 1-888-SAGEHEN (724-3436) or email alumni@pomona.edu by April 18.

Where do I pick up my registration packet when I arrive on campus?

After parking, Seaver House (305 North College Avenue) is the first stop for all attendees. Required vaccination and testing verifications, and registration packet pick up, is available at the following times:

  • Thursday, April 28 2 p.m.– 6 p.m.
  • Friday, April 29 8:30 a.m. –7:30 p.m.
  • and Saturday, April 30 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

If I don't pre-register, can I still attend events?

All attendees at Alumni Weekend are required to register in order to attend any events. All attendees will need to provide vaccination or testing verification in order to receive an attendee wristband for the weekend. We strongly encourage pre-registration. Limited walk-up registration is available but we cannot guarantee that all events will have availability.

Will my maiden name automatically be included on the name tag?

Yes, for alumni who married during/after graduation, the last name that you entered when you were a student will be included on the name tag.

Traveling, Hotels and Directions

Will there be shuttles from the recommended hotels?

Due to COVID staffing limitations at area hotels, only the DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont and the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel are able to provide shuttles to campus.

If all of the recommended hotels are sold out, where can I stay?

Where can I find a campus map or directions?

There will be various signs and banners posted around campus to direct alumni to events and rooms. View the online map of the campus.

Where do alumni go when they arrive on campus?

Will the Coop Store be open?

Yes, the Coop Store will be open on Thursday from 9 a.m.–Midnight; Friday from 9 a.m.–Midnight; Saturday from Noon-Midnight and Sunday from Noon–9 p.m. The Coop Store is located in the Smith Campus Center on the Main Level, west side.

What if it rains?

Alumni Weekend will continue, rain or shine.

Will we be able to visit the dorms?

Alumni will not have access to residence halls during Alumni Weekend. Please respect our campus community and refrain from attempting to access residence halls which are closed spaces.

What if I need help getting around campus?

A limited number of carts will be operating on a shuttle “loop” for those needing rides on campus. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off stops will be marked.

Are children welcome at the reunion dinners?

While children are not prohibited from attending Reunion Dinners, we do consider them to be primarily adult-oriented events. Note that there will not be special meals or seating available. Please be sure to count children in your party when registering for meals during Alumni Weekend.

How will I know which of my classmates are attending?

Find out which of your classmates are coming. The list will be refreshed every 72 hours.

Is there a dress code for the reunion dinners?

There is no dress code for the reunion dinners. Comfortable is the order for the day!

Will childcare be provided during the weekend?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer childcare services this year.

How can I contribute to my class gift?

Is there an alcohol policy? Are we allowed to bring alcohol to campus?

Alumni and guests are asked not to bring alcohol to campus during Alumni Weekend. Alcohol will be available at selective events throughout the weekend. Pomona’s policy prohibits open containers of alcohol or cups containing alcohol in public spaces. In addition, common containers of alcohol (kegs, party bowls, etc.) are also not allowed in public spaces. For the safety and enjoyment of all members of our community, please adhere to campus policies during your visit.
