Three Things - 5.10.23

Dear Sagehens,

Welcome to Pomona College! We are thrilled you are joining our community this fall. We understand there is a lot to do before we welcome you to campus in August, and we’re here to help.

Starting this week, and every Wednesday through mid-August, we will send you this “Three Things” email. As the name implies, you will have three things to do, learn about, or take action to best prepare for the fall semester.

This will be the best way to stay informed to ensure a smooth transition to Pomona College. NOTE: Starting on May 24, this will be sent only to your Pomona College email address.

Please make sure you have activated your Pomona student account information

Here are this week’s Three Things:

  • Check out the Pomona College To-Do List on the Orientation webpage. Links will go live throughout the summer as forms and sites are available.

  • While you’re there, you can also start your Letter to Your Advisor. (You will need your This is a Pomona tradition, where we ask you to share a story with your future advisor about your intellectual self and how you imagine bringing your insights to your academic life at Pomona. • Finally, the Orientation schedule is available. You can begin to make your summer travel plans as you prepare for online Orientation in early August and then move to campus later that month.

If you have questions, contact us at orientation@pomona.edu. And don’t forget to check your Pomona email next Wednesday for the next Three Things email.

Respectfully,

Josh Eisenberg, dean of campus life

P.S. These emails are only sent to the incoming class. The Office of Alumni and Family Engagement will be in contact with our new Pomona families throughout the summer.
