Dear Sagehens,
Welcome to Pomona College! We are thrilled that you are joining our community this fall. We understand there is a lot to do before we welcome you to campus in August, and we’re here to help.
Starting this week, and every Wednesday through mid-August, we will send you this “Three Things” email. As the name implies, you will have three things to learn about or do to prepare for the fall semester.
These emails will be the best way to stay informed to ensure a smooth transition to Pomona College.
Starting on Wednesday, May 20, this message will be sent only to your Pomona College email address.
Please make sure you have activated your Pomona student account information.
Here are this week’s Three Things:
- Check out the Pomona College To-Do List on the Orientation webpage. Links will go live throughout the summer as forms and sites are available, beginning May 13.
- The Orientation schedule is available! You can begin to make your summer travel plans as you prepare for online Orientation in early August and moving to campus later that month. Note: Move-in is Saturday, August 22, from 8-10 a.m. for most students. All families should plan to leave campus by 6 p.m. as New Student Orientation officially begins at that time.
- SAGEHEN PRIDE: The Pomona-Pitzer women’s water polo team just clinched its fifth consecutive Division III National Champions! Here’s the highlights from the championship match against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
If you have questions, contact us at orientation@pomona.edu. And don’t forget to check your Pomona email next Wednesday for the next Three Things email.
Respectfully,
Josh Eisenberg, dean of campus life
Heidi Schumacher, associate dean for student academic success
P.S. These emails are only sent to new students. Information for families of the incoming class will come from families@pomona.edu.
