Senior Class Impact Project Committee

The Senior Class Impact Project is an important opportunity for Pomona seniors to give back to their Sagehen community and help to ensure the Pomona education experience for all students. Seniors who donate may direct their gift to an array of student resources or to the Annual Fund to support scholarships and need-blind admissions, academic programs and resources and student life opportunities. Supporting the Senior Class Impact Project is one way for seniors to make their mark on campus and support future Sagehens!

Senior Class Impact Project Myths

I'm already giving enough money to Pomona through tuition.

Even students paying full tuition only pay about two-thirds of the actual cost of a Pomona education. The rest is made up from income from the endowment and other grants, including the Senior Class Impact Project.

Pomona’s endowment is large enough to support its students.

The endowment consists mostly of restricted funds that have been allocated to support a particular area of need or a specific purpose. The Annual Fund generates approximately $5 million each year that help meet Pomona's immediate needs. Annual Fund gifts support academic instruction, student services, financial aid and student support.

One person’s participation doesn't matter.

All participation matters! It enhances Pomona's outstanding reputation and increases the value of your degree among peers and colleagues once you’ve graduated.

Participation is the most important part of our Senior Class Impact Project. We want support to come from as many of our classmates as possible. Whatever amount you can contribute will be a step toward our goal!

How much are you asking for?

A gift of any amount is appreciated.

Where will my gift be invested?

Donations to the Senior Class Impact Project are not invested and go directly to support student resources.

Senior Class Impact Project

The Senior Class Impact Project Committee supports resources and organizations on campus that are important to students by fundraising amongst the senior class.

Last year’s Senior Class Impact Project Committee has chosen for the Senior Class Impact Project Campaign to support the Queer Resource Center, Academic Departments, Sagehen Athletics, The Draper Center for Community Partnerships and Student Internships.

Meet the Past Senior Class Impact Project Committee Members!

Nicole studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). She was the senior captain of Pomona-Pitzer Varsity Track and Field and hurdled and jumped for the team. She was also a captain on Pomona College Mock Trial. She joined the SCIPC to help the Class of 2024 make its mark by advocating for organizations at Pomona that they want to see continued for future students, such as Student Internship Funds and the Queer Resource Center.

Nina was a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major with a concentration in Economics. She was the captain of Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Varsity Tennis Team and was also on the executive board of Pomona Ventures. As part of the Class of 2024, she joined the SCIPC in hopes of helping her class make a lasting impact by championing the preservation of meaningful resources to the students at Pomona. In her free time, she enjoys spamming her photography account followers with photos of the sky, oak trees, and the Carnegie building during sunset.

Eric studied Ancient and Medieval Mediterranean History and Classics. He was on the Pomona-Pitzer varsity baseball team. He joined the SCIPC to help the Class of 2024 give back to a school that provided so many opportunities and important values for its students.
