The Evelyn B. Craddock McVicar Memorial Fund supports summer research for one or two junior Pomona College students each summer. The research work funded must be done with a faculty mentor and is to be followed up in the senior year with student participation in teaching activities. The donor may ask to meet with the student-faculty team during the subsequent academic year to discuss their project.
The Research Committee will select the recipient from among the SURP applicants, based on the qualifications of the student and the appropriateness of the proposed project.
Students should note in their SURP application that they would like to be considered for the Craddock McVicar funds and include an explanation of how the teaching participation requirement will be satisfied.
