International Student Mentoring Program students greet students.

Students from the International Student Mentors Program greet new students on Move-In Day.

All international (U.S. visa-holding) students are required to attend the New International Student and Scholar Orientation (NISSO) program through International Place of The Claremont Colleges (I-Place) taking place on Thursday, August 22 – Friday, August 23, 2019 before the Pomona College orientation program begins. The arrival day is Wednesday, August 21, 2019, and international students will move into the Pomona College residence halls on that day.

More Information for International Students

Read our International Student FAQs for more information on visas and other paperwork, living in Claremont, working in the U.S., and more.

U.S. Citizens coming from abroad are strongly encouraged to attend this orientation.

All international students must fill out the New Student/Scholar form (available after May 1st). Filling out this form will also confirm your participation in NISSO.

International Place offers a complimentary airport pick-up from Los Angeles and Ontario international airports to Claremont for students who register for NISSO before the deadline. Please note: This request must be confirmed by International Place.
