Dear Sagehens,
We are finishing May off strong here at Pomona College and are excited to welcome the Class of 2030 and our new fall transfers in just a few months.
If this is the first time you have received our Three Things email, welcome to Pomona College! These weekly emails will provide bite-sized information and resources you need to prepare to join us in August. If you missed any of the earlier emails, you can find all of them on the Three Things webpage.
Here are this week’s Three Things:
- The Liberal Arts Advising Survey is due Sunday, June 1 (June 15 for transfer students). For more information on academic advising at Pomona, please visit the advising webpage.
- If you are thinking about applying for a loan for the upcoming academic year and would like the loan reflected on the first billing statement in July, please submit your loan request to the Office of Financial Aid by Friday, June 19. To view outstanding financial aid documents, please visit the portal. If you have questions, please email the Office of Financial Aid at financial.aid@pomona.edu. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PDT Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm Friday
- All incoming students must complete the ALEKS assessment by June 30. ALEKS is an assessment of your quantitative (math) skills and offers personalized learning modules to refresh and strengthen your skills before coming to campus. While ALEKS is not a placement exam, your ALEKS score will provide you with feedback on your skills. For more information about ALEKS, please visit the Quantitative Skills Center's ALEKS page. Please direct any questions about ALEKS to Dr. Dylan Worcester at The Quantitative Skills Center at qsc@pomona.edu.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
Respectfully,
Josh Eisenberg, dean of campus life
Heidi Schumacher, associate dean of the college
