Three Things - 7.12.23

Dear Sagehens,

We hope you’re still enjoying some time off while starting to plan your arrival in a few weeks. We have updated the packing list web page so check those out after you’ve completed this week’s Three Things:

· Placement tests for several academic subjects open this week. To find out which placement tests are available and the timeline to complete them, visit the Placement and Advisory Exam page.

· Let’s work together to build a culture of respect, equity, and empowerment on campus. As an agreement of our shared values, the Title IX & Campus Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Support (CARES) Office wants to ensure all students complete the online Sexual Assault Prevention Training for Undergraduates by August 12, 2023. Log in to this required training: bit.ly/FallTraining2026. For more information and available resources, visit the “Sexual Assault Prevention Training” page or contact cares@pomona.edu.

· Finally, some sage(hen) advice from alumni Clio Beauvoir ’10 and Aldair Arriola Gomez ’17 about the opportunities at Pomona that served them well.

Enjoy the rest of your week and you’ll hear from us next Wednesday. If you have missed any of the previous emails, we have created a Three Things archive to make it easier to catch up.

Respectfully,

Josh Eisenberg, dean of campus life

Pierangelo De Pace, associate dean of the college
