Faculty Search Report I
2025-2026 Updates
This report must be submitted to and approved by the Dean of the College and the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion/Diversity Officer before an authorized search can officially begin. The job ad may be submitted and approved before the completion of Search Report 1, but no candidate files can be evaluated until the chair and search committee have met with the Associate Dean (DEI)/Diversity Officer and the necessary search guidelines have been discussed and approved. All searches should be handled through Academic Jobs Online and candidates must submit dossiers there.
Search Report 1 is completed by the Search Committee Chair and focuses on the overall structure of the search and requests information regarding anticipated office or lab space for the new candidate. Specifically, Search Report 1 asks for the following 5 items:
- Search timetable
- Text of job advertisement
- Proposed constitution of the search committee
- Outreach and advertising plan
- Anticipated space needs for the new faculty member
