The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health released a statement urging everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks in public spaces indoors to guard against the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19.
California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) recently revised workplace mask guidance for the state, setting new and different rules for people who are and people who are not vaccinated.
As vaccination takes hold and progress in containing the pandemic continues, we now are able to adjust our testing requirements for staff and faculty members who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
The county soon will be moving into the less-restrictive red tier under the state COVID-19 system. As we have long sought, the county now has agreed to lift nearly all of its restrictions on higher education that go beyond the state guidance.
