2019-2020 Academic Year: Marie Segura

Marie Segura

Tell us something special about your hometown.
I grew up in Montaigu, a small town in the West of France, and then moved to Nantes. Both cities are medieval places with a lot of history. In Nantes you can always find lots of exhibitions, musical events: art is everywhere!

Tell us when and how you started studying foreign languages and what you like about learning languages.
I started studying English in middle school, but I really learned how to speak the language when I went abroad for the first time. What I like most about languages is that they allow you to discover other cultures, to understand different visions of the world.

Tell us about a favorite activity that you pursue when you have free time.
When I have free time, I like simply to go for a walk with friends. I think it’s a perfect way to discover or rediscover places. I also love doing yoga and baking - even if the best part is eating!
