Family Weekend is coming soon (February 17-19) and we're looking forward to seeing many Sagehen families on campus. For us, the weekend will be bittersweet. When our daughter graduates in May, we will leave behind seven years as Pomona parents, and six Family Weekend visits. Each Family Weekend has been an opportunity to discover new dimensions of our children and Pomona College. We urge all of you to join us in Claremont for a truly special weekend on campus.

This year, Pomona has some great new events on tap for families. Join Pomona students, families, faculty and staff for a Community Lunch on Marston Quad featuring local food trucks, ice cream and a photo booth, with music provided by campus radio station KSPC. Get to know Pomona parent Jason Alexander as he discusses his career in entertainment and his work in advocacy and philanthropy during A Conversation with Jason Alexander. Spend your evenings enjoying such diverse offerings as Parents Freakend: Student Comedy Show and the Chamber Orchestra Concert. And say farewell to President David Oxtoby as he delivers his final Family Weekend State of the College address. Or just enjoy time with your student on the beautiful Pomona College campus.

We hope to see you there!

Family Orientation

Move-In Day is a learning experience for students and families alike. That’s why, when Pomona welcomes everyone to campus in the fall, we offer an orientation for families introducing them to academic life, campus services, and more. Please read this special welcome message for new families from Alicia and Steve Zalesin P’14 P’17.
