Undocumented and DACA-mented Employment Emergency Funding

The Office of Financial Aid is committed to supporting our undocumented and DACA-mented students.  While student employment is a standard component of financial aid awards, we understand that not all students are afforded the ability to work.  The money earned from campus jobs is often an essential source of funds for students to meet everyday expenses while studying at Pomona.  For this reason, if a student is ineligible to work, it could lead to a financial hardship that could threaten a student’s studies at the College.

In anticipation of a potential discontinuation of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), the College has established emergency funding for those who are not eligible to work or may become ineligible if their DACA status were to expire.

If you are undocumented and without DACA status, please stop by the Office of Financial Aid to request an Undocumented and DACA-mented Emergency Funds Request Form

Once this form has been received, the Office of Financial Aid will review your file and notify you of your potential eligibility for emergency assistance.  This will generally take the form of grant assistance to replace a portion of your student employment allotment.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.  We can be reached via telephone at (909) 621-8000, via email at financial.aid@pomona.edu, or stop by our second floor Sumner Hall office!
