Two-year Rand Postdoctoral Fellowship in Asian Studies
The Asian Studies Program at Pomona College seeks applications for the Rand Postdoctoral Fellowship, a two-year position, that will begin July 1, 2025.
This teaching fellowship is open to scholars whose work engages pre-modern China in ways that will generate innovative approaches to the research and teaching of Asia. The candidate should have their Ph.D. degree no earlier than 2020. We welcome research grounded in cross-disciplinary perspectives and teaching that links China with other geographical region(s).
During the first year of the fellowship, the teaching load is two classes, one each semester. The fellow will teach three classes during the second year. The fellow will have access to a research stipend and college funding opportunities for conference travel and teaching/research expenses. The compensation for the fellowship will be: AY25-26, $70,000; AY25-26, $73,000.

One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Politics
The Department of Politics at Pomona College invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2025-2026 academic year. The position requires strong teaching credentials in American Politics. Ability to teach Political Theory a plus. The teaching load is five courses. Applicants will be expected to teach Introduction of American Politics in addition to other offerings. All interviews will be conducted by Zoom.

Qualifications: PhD in Political Science and teaching experience. Advanced doctoral students with teaching experience will also be considered.

Total compensation includes a benefits package and salary. Compensation for this position starts at $75,800 and is commensurate with experience.This position is not eligible for travel and moving expenses. One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Latin American History
The Intercollegiate Department of Chicanx-Latinx Studies at the Claremont Colleges and the History Department at Pomona College invite applications for one-year visiting assistant professor position (2025-26) in Latin American history, with a specialty in the history of México. The visitor will be responsible for teaching five courses over the year, including “Latin America before Independence (Colonial Latin America),” “Latin American Since Independence,” “History of México,” and two others. A Ph.D. in history or Chicana/o-Latina/a Studies is preferred, but we also welcome applications from Ph.D. candidates (ABD) in history or a closely related field.

One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology
The Biology Department at Pomona College is seeking applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Biology beginning fall 2025. The successful candidate will teach an upper-level elective course with lab in the fall semester and an Introductory Cell Biology course with lab in the spring semester, and another course to be determined. The department can provide support for faculty members’ pursuit of independent research, especially if that research is in collaboration with undergraduate students at Pomona College and the Claremont Colleges.
