Adriana is often seen dancing or hanging out at Pendleton Dance Center, as a Dance Office Assistant. She also enjoys spending time with friends outside of Walker. Coming from Hawaiʻi, she is very passionate about her home and culture, especially being a part of Hui Lauleʻa (Hawaiʻi club). When Adriana isnʻt guiding tours, she can be found volunteering with Health Bridges as a Prehealth student, and walking around campus or on her scooter listening to music with her noise-canceling headphones and sunglasses.

Catching a gnarly wave at Newport? Hiking the mountains? Playing a soccer match? As long as it involves good vibes and great company, Daniel's there. Outside of tour guiding, Daniel can be seen brightening up residence halls as a Resident Advisor, competing on the Mock Trial team, and adjudicating hearings as part of the Judicial Council. Around campus, you'll find Daniel chilling on Marston Quad, feasting at Frary, skateboarding past Big Bridges, and shooting hoops at the CARW. If you're lucky, you might just figure out his favorite study spot!

From the Bay Area, Nadia is a dedicated International Relations major with a passion for law and politics. A lifelong singer, Nadia studies solo voice at Pomona through weekly lessons with the Music Department. Nadia spent Summer 2025 studying abroad in Oaxaca and Mexico City, taking a course on the Economic History of Mexico taught in Spanish by Pomona faculty. In Spring 2026, Nadia studied away in Washington, DC, where she interned at the international NGO Reporters Without Borders. On campus, she works as a Writing Partner at the Center for Speaking, Writing, and the Image (CSWIM), where she enjoys supporting her peers in developing their ideas and communication skills. An avid baker, she delights in sharing her culinary creations with loved ones — though her family’s secret flan recipe remains strictly off-limits!

This past summer, Olivia worked at NBC News as a Specials Intern, gaining hands-on experience in media production and breaking news. Outside of tour guiding, she serves as an Admissions Office Intern and Social Media Content Creator for the Communications Office. In her free time, Olivia loves attending concerts in L.A., visiting different California theme parks, and finding hidden gems at the local thrift store.

As an avid food enjoyer and snacker, Cid can probably be found at Frank dining hall eating a delicious plate of food or playing frisbee on Marston Quad. On campus he is a part of a couple clubs including ultimate frisbee and dungeons and dragons. He used to work as tutor for the Upward Bound tutoring organization at Harvey Mudd, but now is a Teacher's Assistant for Computer Science as well as a research assistant under Professor Li. Cid spends his time hanging out with friends on campus, reading in the lounge, playing basketball and enjoys going to the Claremont Village to thrift or get ice cream.

Be it in the classroom, on stage, or out and about, Simón is sure to be found making noise. A History and Spanish double major, Simón spends much of the day in Mason Hall—home to both departments—while the rest of his time is split between beatboxing and singing with the Claremont Shades, supporting students in the CSWIM, and doing research as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow. Now a senior, Simón is excited and worried about how sentimental tour guiding will make him, but he's even more excited to share his experience and that of his friends, acquaintances, and enemies, all in the interest of giving a riveting tour.

For Thayna, cool, sunny days are perfect, so their favorite seasons are spring and fall. Besides being a Tour Guide, they work for the Sustainability Office as an EcoRep, and is a member at the 5C Plant-Based Mission. Thayna likes to have lunch (and fun) at the Spanish and Portuguese tables at Oldenborg. They watch the sunset on the grass of Marston Quad while reading an article for tomorrow's class. Later, you can probably find them sweating on a Peloton bike and weightlifting at the Center for Athletics, Recreation and Wellness (CARW). Other than that, they would be using the Pomodoro technique to stay awake and productive late into the night at the Honnold-Mudd Library. Thayna loves spending the weekend nights enjoying the performances at Little Bridges. They are also an avid viewer of movies screened by the Diva Art Movie Night.

Typically fueled by matcha or kombucha, Zena is an English and Anthropology double major who loves writing, traveling, and studying different cultures. She serves as a liaison for both departments and is an undergraduate researcher with the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship. She is deeply involved in creative writing and campus journalism, having served as co-Editor-in-Chief of Graft, a new multilingual review on campus, and written columns and opinion pieces for The Student Life. She serves on the executive boards of Pomona's BSU (Black Student Union) and People of Color Outside (POCO). Outside of class, she enjoys playing volleyball, analyzing films, watching reality television, and challenging herself with outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and surfing. Her favorite part of Pomona is being in a tight-knit liberal arts community where she can explore a variety of subjects while living in sunny Southern California.

When asked who his favorite superhero is, Leon will immediately jump up with joy and yell out "Spider-Man!", with a comic book of him in his hands. You will also catch Leon in his free time kicking his feet up in the air, reading manga of the new series he is getting into. If he is not reading, he is most likely either strumming his guitar, performing his cello, breakdancing, or having the time of his life with his friends playing soccer. Whenever Leon needs to catch a little break, he loves to look up at the stars in the night sky as he is passionate about astrophysics.

An avid enjoyer of all things musical, Eli comes from the great state of Iowa, and is living proof that the state exports more than just corn and soy to California. When he’s not walking backwards, he can usually be found singing, be it in the Pomona College Choir, The After-School Specials, or one of the 5C’s musical theater programs. You can often catch him in his dorm playing indie games, diving down Wikipedia rabbit holes, or jamming to Lake Street Dive/Tyler, the Creator, typically all at the same time.

His favorite study spot has to be the living room in Smith Campus Center (SCC) and his favorite hanging out spot is Marston quad.

Sabina is always on the move, whether she’s jogging around campus or hiking on California's scenic trails. Originally from Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, she brings her love for the outdoors to campus. A proud member of the 5C Environmental Justice Club, an intern at the Asian American Resource Center, an EA Liaison, and a volunteer driver for the Food Recovery Network, she balances her passions for sustainability and community connection. She spent this past summer surfing back home (she serves as vice president of the 5C Surf Club) and traveling around Europe.

When she’s not doing work, or is supposed to be doing work, Sanja can be found binging TV shows for “creative inspiration,” pursuing her quest of being the last one to leave every dining hall, or winning Survivor: Claremont. As a Weekly Writing Workshop mentor, she helps run creative writing workshops for kids from the area, attempting to divert them from playing Roblox dress-up or debating about rappers. Rafael thrives in the in-between moments of Pomona life: late-night chats sitting on the floor of Harwood Lounge, Survivor nights with friends, and highly competitive games of a pool variation (or as it's known in Wig, "the game"). Outside of tour guiding, he sings, arranges music, and competes with the Claremont Shades a cappella group and the Pomona College Choir and Glee Club, climbs with the 5C Climbing Team, and takes great joy in picking the best dining hall for every meal (a highly strategic process). He loves movie and game nights in dorm lounges, going hiking whenever he can, and playing spikeball or volleyball late at night.

Born and raised in Venice Beach, CA, Oak brings his love of the ocean and outdoors to Pomona, whether that's surfing, skiing, or going on hikes with the Environmental Analysis department. In the classroom, Oak is passionate about environmental analysis, history, and international relations, and spends time volunteering with the Learning in Collaboration (LINC) program at the local public school district. When not doing this, Oak can be found playing tennis, watching movies with friends, or relaxing on Marston Quad doing his best to tan.

Whether it's while waiting for his omelette at Frank or in the library, Philippe is usually laughing with someone. Although his allegiance lies with the Brooklyn Nets, you'll find him in the tv room in Blaisdell watching every NBA game. He's grateful for the beautiful SoCal weather, but is staying hopeful he can wear his winter jacket that he barely fit in his suitcase. Outside of tour guiding, Philippe walks the floors of the Benton Museum, makes pitches for investments and helps other students on the pre-law track. When he has some free time, he likes to relive his glory days on the tennis court.

If you don't catch Jun sipping on his lavender matcha latte on the second floor of the Honnold-Mudd LIbrary, he's probably in one of two places: a bench during the sunset at the Marston Quad or Frary dining hall eagerly waiting for the weekly nacho bar. He's often working on articles as an editor for The Student Life (TSL) or finishing off his final assignment at the Coop Fountain listening to his daylists on Spotify. Interested in public service and policy, he interned at the City of Claremont and a law firm. Lastly, he's always up early on Saturdays and Sundays, catching the Tottenham game happening in England, complaining about how they lose every other week at 6:30 in the morning.

As a lifelong resident of the rainy Southeast, Ruel has made it her mission to capitalize on Claremont's sun. She spends most of her days between Linguistics classes in Edmunds lounging on the Skyspace's cool benches. After the sun sets, you can find her digging through the Walker Free Room, participating in impromptu jam sessions on the Steinway in Harwood Lounge, and playing Mahjong with other Oldenborg residents in the Chinese Lounge. An avid completionist, there's nothing she enjoys more than discovering new spaces across the Claremont Consortium and sharing them with anyone who will listen. Whether she's taking a client call for the Small Claims Advisory Service in Scripps' Humanities building or enjoying an early morning golf lesson at CMC, she's always happy about humidity under 30%.

After living in the Dallas plains, Charles takes full advantage of the mountainous Golden State. Over the weekends, Charles can often be found on hikes with People of Color Outside (POCO) or On the Loose (OTL) or being a competitive yapper with the Mock Trial team. Outside of tour guiding, Charles coordinates logistics and helps manage the Mock Trial team, serves as the Commissioner of Wellness in ASPC, and sings with the Pomona College Choir. The sleep-deprived Charles can often be spotted on his way to the Honnold/Mudd Library, where he is usually among the last to leave. When taking a break from readings and terms about the human mind, Charles can be seen working out at the Center for Athletics, Recreation and Wellness (CARW), watching movies at Laemmle, or taking the Metrolink to LA. This summer, Charles also did research on positive disengaging emotions with the SURP program.

Coming from just a 17-minute drive away, Samarah feels right at home in Claremont. Between watching movies, running at the Center for Athletics, Recreation and Wellness (CARW), or practicing singing and piano at Thatcher, she can often be found studying in Carnegie with friends or hurrying off to her next class or meeting. An enjoyer of the outdoors, Samarah loves spending time outside on her quilt in Marston and plotting future road trips and hikes. Always down for a good conversation, she’s known to talk about anything and everything! This year, Samarah hopes to spend more time sewing at The Hive—and finally learn how to do a cartwheel.

Growing up as a city girl in Beijing, Olivia moved to the Bay Area in 2021 and is now enjoying her life in SoCal. She can often be found studying in Estella or Carnegie, practicing music in Thatcher, and soaking up the sun on Marston Quad with a matcha latte in hand, convincing herself she’s being productive. Outside of tour guiding, Olivia is a member of Pomona Ventures and coordinates marketing. She is also often on her way to a meeting with other consultants at Pomona Consulting Group. As an enthusiastic singer, she sings with The Glee Club and Pomona College Choir. Outside of academics and music, Olivia loves playing badminton and help manage the 5C Badminton Club as the co-captain. When the mood strikes, she loves going on late-night runs to Insomnia Cookies or watching movies at the theater in the Village.

On a sunny day (which is most days here in Claremont), you can usually spot Shadrack out on a picnic mat at the Sontag Greek Theatre studying or catching up with friends. An international student from Kenya, he loves cooking recipes from home and taking advantage of the language tables in Oldenborg dining hall to chat with fellow Swahili speakers. He enjoys outdoor activities and occasionally goes on hikes with the outdoors club. Additionally he loves all things music. He plays violin with the Pomona College Orchestra, and if you bring up modern music, be ready for an hours-long lecture on the themes and styles embedded in Beyoncé’s discography.

Before coming to Claremont, Andrea lived in North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She doesn’t hide her pride in being the (allegedly) first Macedonian student at Pomona, sharing her region’s culture with her suitemates and neighbors in the Oldenborg language residence. She’s still getting accustomed to American culture through her growing list of idioms, but keeps her international spirit alive with International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) events and gatherings. In her free time, Andrea plays the bass in with her on-campus band Jeens and scouts for concerts in LA. Most importantly, she puts the petal to the metal every morning for a Frank breakfast with her friends.

Major: Chemistry and English (minor)

Jason is a proud and loyal Bay Stater who still cannot grapple with people calling munchkins “donut holes” and the lack of Dunkin’ on every street corner. But he believes the trade-off is worth it to enjoy carne asada fries (a new affinity of his since moving to SoCal) and the countless opportunities on campus every day! Despite really enjoying the California weather, Jason ironically spends much of his time in many windowless places on campus: Seaver Chemistry, where he researches sulfur-breathing bacteria; the basement of Thatcher Hall, where he practices for his voice lessons; and the basement of the Smith Campus Center, where he indulges in snacks at the Latinx Alliance’s La Sala instead of studying. However, he does make time for homework in the Coop Fountain, where he loves blowing off his FLEX dollars. True to his Bay State roots, Jason is passionate about civic engagement and spends time volunteering for the Draper Center and fighting at the intersection of STEM and social justice with 5C Critical Mass. How Jason finds time for all of this and his classes is anyone's guess... even his own.

When Charlotte is not on the basketball court, she can often be found drinking coffee from Cafe 47 or power walking across campus. As a native Oregonian, Charlotte takes full advantage of the SoCal sun and is outside as much as possible. During the week she likes to study outside by the Coop Fountain or read poolside at the Pendleton. On weekends, Charlotte likes to leave campus and explore, on foot and by car, this new area she gets to call home.

With a running list of her favorite spots on campus, if you need a study spot recommendation, Serena can give you one! Serena can be found all over, from studying at Smith Campus Center (SCC) then eating at Coop Fountain, to reading in Crookshank Hall then crafting at the Hive. Outside of class, Serena enjoys serving the community, whether through the Draper Center’s LINC program or AARC’s Saturday Tongan Education Program. Throughout the week, Serena enjoys spending time with friends and exploring the 5Cs under the SoCal sun.

Hailing from mountainous Colorado, Mark is studying International Relations with a passion for foreign policy and national security. Raised by Ukrainian immigrant parents, Mark is passionate about both his Slavic-American identity. Often, you can find Mark eating at the Russian Language table at Oldenborg, or showing his friends a certified classic of Soviet cinema. Mark is also a research assistant for Professor Boduszynski, supporting his study of U.S. influence in the Baltics. Mark is a member of Pomona College Model United Nations team, where he has won awards competing in Crisis Committees. He is also a writer for the Claremont Journal of International Relations and works at the Coop Fountain as a cashier. In his free time, you can catch Mark reading classic literature, obsessing over the latest Drum Corps International developments and show releases, or eating at all the 5C dinning halls with his friends like he's on a food tour.

Though David likes to think he's Midwestern to the core, he has to admit that soaking up the winter sun on Marston Quad is pretty darn nice. When David isn’t studying on Marston or on Estella’s hidden balcony (shhh), you can find him revising his witness examinations with the Pomona College Mock Trial team, going on evening runs through Claremont with friends, playing the saxophone with lessons through the College, or reading a good book. David loves picking up new hobbies and skills, but thinks he peaked in this regard four or five years ago, when he learned to solve a Rubik’s cube blindfolded (which he has long since forgotten how to do).

Elaine Suh is from the internationally renowned state of Nebraska, but is greatly enjoying her time in Southern California as a proud Sagehen. You can usually find Elaine studying in random lounges across campus, and if in great desperation to lock in, you will surely see her in the Honnold-Mudd Library. Her favorite spot on campus is Marston Quad on a sunny, 71 (fahrenheit) degree day. In her free time, Elaine enjoys baking and reading. Always a fan of all things granola, she likes taking advantage of the Outdoor Education Center (OEC) to hike, camp, and everything in between. She considers herself a big cinnamon ice cream enthusiast.

Eden is from Portland, Oregon, but doesn't exactly miss the constant rain. She can be found at the Pomona College Organic Farm, the sewing shed of the Hive, or sleeping in her room. Eden also frequents Thatcher Building to practice percussion and piano, when she's not playing drop the cat (sooo fun).

Coming all the way from Iowa, Korey truly is a Midwest Princess. Outside of class, he usually spends his time nonchalantly contemplating climate doom, reading a good book, or consuming vast amounts of media (one of his favorite things about The Claremont Colleges is the constant exposure to interesting new pieces of media). Some of Korey's favorite authors are Ta-Nehisi Coates, Mitchell Jackson, and Madeline Miller; some favorite artists are Ashe, Bruno Mars, and Olivia Dean. One thing Korey hopes to see more of this year is zebra print.

Outside of tour guiding, he's involved with Pomona-Pitzer track and field, the pens and poetry club, and doing spontaneous things like baking for people to enjoy. Dashawn's favorite things about Southern California are the weather, as Chicago weather has NOTHING ON IT!

She frequents Vintage Odyssey in Claremont Village and makes it to LA for the sake of a concert.

When Stephanie’s not studying in the library or FaceTiming her sister, you can probably find her taking one too many pictures/videos on her digital camera (she swears she was a YouTuber in another life) or deciding between a Matcha Latte or Iced Chai at Café 47. In the fall, however, she’s likely spending most of her free time rewatching Gilmore Girls. Outside of working as a tour guide, Stephanie is a Posse Scholar, part of the Pomona Model UN team, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advocate for the First Year Committee. Regardless of what she’s doing, Stephanie is definitely listening to R&B, jazz, hip-hop, or Spanish love ballads on her headphones.

Oluwasemilore Osunkeye is a junior at Pomona College, originally from Chicago, majoring in Psychological Science with a minor in Chemistry. Outside of class, she loves café hopping, finding the best Korean BBQ, and chasing new experiences through travel. She has traveled to Costa Rica, Italy, Greece, and Belize. She hopes to visit Japan, Thailand, Australia, and Spain one day. When she’s not planning her next trip, she’s usually immersed in a good book or watching films.
